Moss and Frye
I came across the names of African American comedy team Moss and Fry (i.e., Arthur G. Moss and Edward Frye), a.k.a. “A Couple of Blackbirds” in the terrific book The Palace by Marion Spitzer. And ya know what? I’m gonna do a bait and switch. Comedy historian Anthony Balducci has already written the definitive blogpost about this team. Why be redundant? Go to his blog and read about the influential team here.
