Hi friends! Today I have another pastel painting for you.

We stopped at a farm stand this weekend, and I picked up an eggplant and a basket of yellow tomatoes. And I added them to a still life with one of the tomatoes I grew. There is nothing like fresh vegetables to inspire you to paint them before they go bad! If you would like a real-time lesson for this painting along with tons of other painting lessons, check out Critique Club. The Critique Club lesson is suitable for beginners, so if you are new to pastels, I hope you check it out.
Supplies (affiliate links used)
Pastel Pencils (optional)
Pastel paper (this is a nice option if you don’t want to prep your own surface. I made my surface by priming a scrap of mat board with Liquatex clear gesso)
I hope this inspires you to paint some of your goodies fresh from the garden or farm stand! Happy crafting!
