More Items for July

I have already posted a few times about new summer items (Costco Deals for June/July); (New Costco Items for July)). I guess July is a big month for new products at Costco, as I found a few more new ones! So, of course, I want to share the information. Some of these items are currently only sold right now in certain regions so I will list where they can be purchased right now.

7NewItemsforJuly

1.Rise&ShineNutGranola

One new item at Costco in July is this gluten-free granola without added sugar. Apparently, it contains almonds, coconut, sunflower seeds, strawberries, and bananas. It is suggested as a topping for yogurt. The granola is currently available in Costco stores in the Midwest, Southeast, Northwest, Northeast Texas, or San Diego regions.

I have made it clear that I love both granola (Product Review: Kirkland Ancient Grains granola) and yogurt (Product Review: Kirkland Organic Greek Yogurt). They are great separately or together. One of my favorite meals is the granola mixed into the yogurt. Although I don’t, I’d probably be happy having it every day. However, I am pretty picky about my granola, preferring it to be as plain as possible. Therefore, I reject varieties made with dried fruit and seeds and actually pick out as many of the almonds as I can from the Costco one. Therefore, the granola mentioned on this list does not appeal to me. However, I know that many people love their cereal and granola with as many “things” mixed in as possible.

2. Strawberry ‘n Mango GoodPops

Apparently this flavor is exclusive to Costco and delicious. In addition to the good flavor, these popsicles are praised for being made with actual fruit and not filled with any added sugar. Unfortunately, given the high ratings, they are currently only available in one area, which is the Bay Area.

I have never tried this brand but I definitely like the idea of a real fruit based popsicle. I like Outshine bars and other natural bars. I typically don’t like strawberry flavored products (real strawberries are delicious though) but I think it would be balanced out with the mango. However, not living the the Bay area, I will not get to taste them for awhile, if ever.

3. Laobon’sGingerChickenSoupDumplings

Sold in packs of 30, these dumplings are reported to be easy and convenient to prepare and tasty.

Not for me but certainly a good option for a quick meal.

4. BelgianBoysHeat-and-EatBite-SizedPancakes

Another breakfast item on the list of new products for July are these mini pancakes. They are sold in packs of 90, can be ready in minutes, and are reported to be fluffy and relatively sweet. In addition to being new, they are on sale during July for $6.99.

These little pancakes sound great. Although fresh pancakes are certainly preferable, they require more time, work, and mess. Therefore, frozen pancakes (and waffles) are great to have around. Although I prefer large pancakes, I happily eat small ones too, and enjoy them with either maple syrup (Product Review: Kirkland 100% Pure Maple Syrup), bananas, or a hot blueberry sauce.

5. GoodlesMac&Cheese

This protein filled macaroni and cheese gets high reviews for health, taste, and convenience. Costco is selling the cheddar variety.

I have never tried this brand of macaroni and cheese. However, it looks and sounds good and even better that it contains protein.

6. La Ferra Tina Michigan Cherry & Jalapeno Dip & Spread

This dip contains cherries, jalapenos, and asiago cheese. It has been sold before and is back in stores in celebration of the National Cherry Festival in Michigan.

The three main ingredients are all ones that I do not like, so this dip is not appealing. I could not tell if it is only available in Michigan or if it is to celebrate a festival in Michigan but more widely available.

7. Rudi’sPB&JSandwiches

Another convenient item on the list of new products available in July are these sandwiches. Apparently, they are sold in a variety of flavors, including one made without peanuts. They are sold in packs of 10.

When Smuckers came out with the frozen PBJ sandwiches many years ago, I thought it was ridiculous, given that PBJ are known for being one of the most basic meals to make and eat. I am all for convenience but I still think it is an odd product, because the idea of frozen and then defrosted peanut butter does not sound too good. I’d much prefer to use my favorite Costco peanut butter (Product Review:Kirkland organic creamy peanut butter) and be able to add as much as I want (tons!). I also don’t love jelly so I prefer to control the ratio. I looked up the flavors and only saw grape but perhaps the other flavors are listed elsewhere. I wonder what they use for the peanut-free ones…soy butter? almond butter? cashew butter?

Have you seen or tried any of these new items for July?
