Today two new FCCregistrations appeared for Microsoft Model 1927 and a related wi-fi module. Here are the published details:

Applicant: Microsoft CorporationOne Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399 USAProduct Name: Portable Computing DeviceBrand Name: MicrosoftModel No.: 1927Model Difference: N/AFCC ID: C3K1927IC: 3048A-1927Report Number: T191120N02FCC Rule Part: §15.225IC Rule: RSS-210 issue 10 Annex B B.6 Dec. 2019Issue Date: Mar. 20, 2020Date of Test: Nov. 21, 2019Date of EUT Received: Nov. 20, 2019HW Version (Product ) EV2SW Version (Product ) Windows 10 ProHW Version (Radio ) EV2SW Version (Radio ) 19.43.4.4/99.0.49.7/21.60.1.1 Radio Test Tool & Version DRTU 11.1941.0-10270 Firmware Version (Chip) 1943-95cfa2-c8-00004.05 NFC Driver Version 12.0.5.0 Power Supply: 7.66Vdc from Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery or 15V from AC/DC Adapter Battery: Model No.: DYNU01, Supplier: DYNAPACK Adapter: Model No.: 1735, Supplier: LITEON

FCC rule 15.255 indicates testing within the 13-14MHz band corresponding to NFC – this NFC device is from NXP. The Bluetooth radio driver 21.60.1.1 corresponds to Intel device ID [usb\vid_8087&pid_0029]. The likely Wi-Fi module is the matching Intel AX200 with Wi-fi 6 based on this separate FCC filing and similar driver version listedon Windows Update.

Why is this likely the Surface Go 2?

The cited model 1735 power adapter from LiteOn is the same 24W model that ships with the existing Surface Go. No other Surface devices use this low-power model.

Hopefully it is the same form factor so cases and ergonomic mods will continue to work:
