MONIKA ROSCHER BIGBAND – Witches Brew (Live)

Monika Roscher Bigband is a contemporary experimental jazz orchestra from Munich, Germany, led by Monika Roscher, a guitarist, composer, and vocalist born in 1984 in Langenzenn, Bavaria.

Founded in 2011 while she was studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, the band brings together elements of jazz, prog rock, math rock, electronica, and avant-pop, creating a sound that’s far from traditional big band music.

Their style is often described as theatrical, wild, and cinematic — sometimes compared to a mix between Frank Zappa, Björk, and a metal-infused jazz orchestra. Critics have called it “a mesmerizing spell of brass and beats,” and their live shows are known for their electrifying energy.
