MLW 2024 All-Star Break Power Rankings
S. Samek
MLW has reached the All-star Game. This week’s video is the home run derby and next weeks is the All-Star Game. Sense there’s no prediction to make this week let’s do the power rankings. This is after each team has played nine of 15 games three MLW slates concluded.
8. Gators
They seem closer to competition, but not quite all the way there. They are struggling to score runs which is keeping them from being better. Though they have matched last year’s win total already.
7. Magic
The world series champs are in a bit of a rough spot. The offense is one-dimensional, and the intentional walks of Grant Millar are on the table for future series. RJ Walgate’s regressed a bit from dominate to good, but Trevor Bonham’s lost it as their number two arm. They still are fighting for a playoff spot though.
6.Wildcats
The game two extra inning loss to the Cobras could be a game they look at as a missed opportunity if they miss the playoffs. However, they do face the Magic in the second half of the season should be an important series for determining the playoffs.
Their pitching has to get better though as they’ve given up the second most runs in the league.
5.Cobras
Taking two out of three from the Wildcats helps the playoff chances. The offense is much better than last year, but will it be enough to get them back to the playoffs? It better because the pitching hasn’t helped with the Cobra’s giving up the most runs in the league.
4. Mallards
This has to be one of the most confusing teams in the league. That’s also coming from a Mallards fan. The offense is pretty bad, scoring a league low eight runs. However, the pitching is elite, giving up a league low 10 runs. So, to be 5-4 at this point seems to be a blessing. They have a lot to work on if they want to make it to the world series as per expectations. Yet if the pitching keeps putting up zeros the stagnant offense may not matter.
3. Eagles
A tough series loss to the Diamondbacks, but they still looked strong in a game one shutout win. The Eagles have a balanced attack both hitting and pitching.
2.Predators
Ryan Kracht is doing his thing, and it has them alone atop the American League standings.
Diamondbacks
The won a tough 2-1 series over the Eagles to take over first place at the break. They have the second most runs scored in the league at 34 and a good pitchign staff to back it up.
