MLB Trades 7/26/24

S. Samek

We finally have word of some MLB trades going down to start off this season’s deadline.

The first trade sees the Arizona Diamondbacks acquiring A. J Puk from Miami for a pair of top 30 prospects.

The Mariners then picked up outfielder Randy Arozarena from Tampa Bay for two prospects and a player to be named later. A bit surprising to not see Arozarena end up in Dodger blue, when they were considered the most likely to land him.

The Red Sox traded to have James Paxton return.

The Phillies and Orioles traded as well. The Phillies acquired Austin Hays in exchange for Seranthony Domínguez and Cristian Pache.

So far it has been a light deadline. However, it’s nice to see some deals start to get made. I wonder what this weekend will bring as far as trades. Stay tuned for updates on all news trade deadline on Hammer Down Sports Blog!
