Mixed Media Misty Fall Path

Hi friends! The other day I painted this but during the painting process, I struggled a lot.

Does that ever happen to you? I probably should have taken a break but I was feeling the pressure to get it done, so I did. I used watercolor, pigment powder, graphite, gouache, and pastels. • Hahnemuhle watercolor block 9×12

• Schminke Super Granulating Watercolors

• Watercolor pigment powders like Brusho or Color Burst

• Gouache

• Pastel pencils or pastels

Don’t feel you need to use the exact supplies or every media I did. Let this be a lesson on using different media together to save a painting. Get to know the supplies you have. I think a struggle painting can really allow me to explore media combinations I wouldn’t have thought of if a painting went to plan. Give it a try and even if it doesn’t turn out it’s just a piece of paper and there is always the back side. Happy crafting!
