The playoffs roll on, and the Double-A leagues have reached the league championship round. The best of three series all start today. Let’s take a look at each matchup.

Eastern League

Binghamton Rumble Ponies vs Erie Seawolves

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies finished off a two-game sweep with a 5-4 game two win over the Somerset Patriots in the Northeast division championship series.

The Erie Seawolves dropped game one 11-5 before winning the next two allowing only two runs for the rest of the series. They return to the Eastern League Championship series for the fourth year in a row with a chance to three-peat.

My prediction is Erie wins 2-1.

Southern League

Montgomery Biscuits vs Birmingham Barons

The Biscuits won their playoff series 2-0 over Biloxi to advance to the championship series. Birmingham won their playoff series 2-1 over Chattanooga to advance to the championship series.

My prediction is Birmingham wins 2-1.

Texas League

Springfield Cardinals vs Midland Rockhounds

Springfield won their playoff series 2-0 to advance to the league championship series. Midland swept Amarillo in their playoff series 2-0 to advance to the championship series.

My prediction is Springfield over Midland 2-1.
