Mighty Ducks Day

I think it’s awesome that Disneyland is teaming up to host a day dedicated to the Mighty Ducks. Well not the Mighty anymore, the current name is the Anaheim Ducks. Though I do feel like this is a cool partnership.

The day features ducks players in parades and shows and even new food and merchandise featuring all things Anaheim Ducks.

I do wish it tied in more to the movie, or TV Show though. There’s three awesome movies that really could have really brought fans in. Heck in the third movie they reference the NHL team directly. There was also a tie -in with the movie and the team a few months ago as well. This just seems like a natural chance to keep building a relationship between the two brands.

I think this kind of sports and amusment park connection might just lead to something more in the future. Don’t be surprised if like steel curtain at Kennywood more rides get themed to sports teams.
