McCutchen Passes Clemente on Pirates Home Run List

Andrew McCutchen made Pirates history today. He hit his 241st home run. This moves him past Roberto Clemente for third place all-time in Pittsburgh Pirates home runs.

McCutchen hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning that served as the difference in the Pirates 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday June 11th, 2025. The home run was the sixth of the season for McCutchen.

Spot number two on the list might be quite a way to go through for McCutchen. Next on the list is Ralph Kiner with 301 and then Willie Stargell with 475.

Even if he doesn’t quite reach those number, it still has been a great run for McCutchen. One that should with him in the hall of fame.

Yet for now it’s awesome to see him reach this milestone and do so in front of the home crowd. Also, good the Pirates won the game to celebrate the occasion.
