McAdoo Named 2024 First Half MVP

Charles McAdoo has had another headline. The Pittsburgh Pirates prospect was named as the MVP for the first half of the South Atlantic League by MLB Pipeline.

With a .336/.415/.561 with nine home runs and 14 steals McAdoo was picked as the MVP over Xavier Isaac of Bowling Green.

This comes on the heels of McAdoo’s selection to the all-prospect team a couple of weeks ago and his promotion to Double-A Altoona not too long after. It should be said that McAdoo also played a key role in the Greensboro Grasshoppers first half division title and trip to the playoffs.

Even though he came into the season ranked as the 30th best prospect in the Pirates system, he has to be climbing the ranks. Actually, he’s currently the 29th best prospect. This MVP award is well earned and has made him a player to watch this season. I feel like with continued success he should move up the ranking list even faster.
