March Update 2015

Mar 19, 2015
1 min read

To date 2015 has presented good weather for pruning and favourable ground conditions for tree roots.

Now, with Sky Larks above us, Earthworms beneath and Ladybirds amongst the shoots and buds an air of expectancy abounds. Better still, the fruit buds are only slowly breaking, unlike the extraordinary early show of leaves and blossoming of last year at this time.

Vegetable seeds are just beginning to germinate and the onion sets about to be planted. Beetroot is one of the most popular of our vegetable line and to address this more are being raised this season. First there are pigeons to deter and mice and voles to discourage.

Remember, we are still only in mid March, all manner of vicissitudes may yet present themselves before summer!
