Low Code Integration: Google Cloud Vision API & Salesforce via External Services
I’ve been wanting to try out and post this one for quite a while but couldn’t get the billing account enabled on my Google account… But thanks to Amit Singh, one of the amazing trailblazers in our community, for giving me the API key to make this happen! 😀 Oh, btw, hi! Glad to see you here. 🙂
Before we start, if you’re not familiar with External Services, I’d recommend going through some of my previous posts on External Services to get a quick idea.
Pre-requisites
Basic understanding of Integration and External Services.
A google account with enabled billing account.
Let’s roll
Step 1: Create a project in the Google Account, enable Vision API and generate an API key.
Step 2: Create a Named Credential of ‘No Authentication’ type. NOTE: For Google Cloud Vision API, you can use the API key(used as a query param) for authenticate your callouts.
Step 3: Create the swagger schema using Swagger Inspector. You can also copy it from my GitHub repo.
Step 4: Create an External Service and register the swagger schema.
Bow you’re all set to use this in your flow!

Wasn’t that easy, eh? #LowCode 😉
