For those who can’t watch , this twitter has some videos put up rather quickly.

No commentating, Rocks the Casbah. Please, let there be no commentary.

Those Leotards look purple. They are ugly. They had some great training videos and choose this for actual competition? (Yuck)

Could be worse. They could be Brazil IN PINK? _________________________

Less then a point between Suni and Simone. Suni has 8 tenths on, Grace.

Beam

Grace- Missed her foot. Off on beam. 5.500 7.433 12.933

Suni- off on beam (two foot layout) 6.200 7.200 13.400

(Flavia hit floor) 13.833

Beam judges like the US.

Kara- Two bobbles . A couple questionable beam connections but she stayed on. 5.800 8.066 13.866

(Only 5.8 start value. They deducted her missed connections)

Simone- great routine for Simone. Stuck the double double as a, FU, to the FIG.lol 14.800 8.300 6.500

Eaker has an inquiry in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uneven Bars:
Kara- Lots of feet issues but decent handstands from this angle. Dismount close to the bars. Slight missed handstands ( last 2)- 5.500 8.500 14.000
Grace- Some handstand issues but she stayed on. Nice routine for her. 6.100 8.541 14.641
Simone- one of her better routines. Slight handstand issues and form breaks, judges will ignore. 6.200 8.533 14.733
Sunisa- Great routine. some leg separations. A little bit wishy washy, full twisting pak but other wise, well done. 6.400 8.600 15.000
Bar judges also seem to be ignoring execution in this rotation.
Flavia hit beam. One small wobble but that was awesome for her. Come on judges, don’t screw this up. 13.400 7.900 5.500 Boo. Stupid judges.
SCORE CHANGED
13.700 7.900 5.800
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Vault:

Sunisa- DTY: Very little distance. Preflight issues. Near nailed. 5.400 9.166 14.566

Grace- DTY: Step on landing. Better distance than Sunida. Same score as Suni

Jade- VT 1- Messy form. Feet apart. Her typical vaulting- Chang ( What are the judges watching) 9.3 execution (15.300)

VT 2- Amanar. Step. Same form. 15.100

Simone-

VT 1- Chang. Big step, off to side. Feet together. 3 tenth deduction. 15.066 Average: 15.200

VT 2- Amanar- Step on landing but her height and distance is freaking insane. 15.300 Average: 15.199

Jade ahead of Simone is a complete joke. Even the 3 tenth deduction just watch the form. Simone has slight feet separation but how do these judges not see, Jade’s issues? Simone got no credit for her height and distance and form. These judges should lose their job.

Someone tell NBC to do a vault comparison for Simone and Jade

Floor:

Grace- Nailed double double.Looked like both toes were out in second pass but no mention of it being. Small steps on both last passes but a great routine for her. 5.600 8.166 13.766

Sunisa- Double double, double layout. Great , triple then double wolf. Small step on last pass. Great routine for Suni. 5.700 8.500 14.200

Jade- Messy landings but the camera work didn’t see if she stepped OOB. One we saw. Replay shows she did the same in this first pass. 6.300 8.100 -0.2 14.200

SUNI KNOCKS JADE OUT OF FLOOR FINALS

Simone- Small steps on each pass. Triple double was huge (OOB) and another OOB but this was actually one of her more controlled routines. She didn’t leap out of her Biles…. 6.600 8.433 -0.2 14.833

Brazil has some solid Vaults. All with steps but who sticks vaults anymore??? (Simone, maybe)

****

For those interested, Laney Madsen finished 154th Vault score was 13 something. Rest were in the 11’s except on bars where she received a 5.166 with a 2.4 start value. She had to have fallen 3 times for that score and start value.

Woke up to news of my girl Daria Spiridonova hitting her bar routine. My God she looked so nervous before she started. I didn’t know what she was going to do but she hit and , oh look, Rocio, she made bar finals 🙂

If Russia can keep hitting in team finals, Aliya Mustafina might have , lazied her way out of an Olympic birth.

See you at 2 Pm eastern time.
