Kyle Troup took home the win during the stepladder finals of the Just Bare PBA Indiana Classic. Troup won after qualifying for the stepladder in third place.
He won his opening match over Zac Wilkins, who won the opening match against Benji Martinez. Troup won the contest with a 279 game to Wilkins 254.
Troup then took down Marshall Kent in a close 227-224 match to reach the final.
The final was a rematch from the US Open Stepladder this year against EJ Tackett, the tournament leader.
Troup was successful in defeating Tackett again with a 228-213 win to claim his second title of the season. He is the first person to reach multiple titles on the PBA Tour this season. Everyone else who made the stepladder was looking to win their first title of 2024.
The win should help Troup’s case in the upcoming All-Star Weekend. He is in second place in the fan vote currently. It could also help his standings in the road to the tour playoffs, where he was third after last week’s Missouri Open.
