Keller Signs Extension

S. Samek

Mitch Keller is staying in Pittsburgh. It’s reported that he signed a five-year extension today with the Pirates.

Keller is coming off an all-star season and is looking to build on some breakout success. I think the Pirates are banking on Keller to be a steady arm for the rotation, which currently has several question marks. Though when the big-name prospect arms take over much like a Paul Skenes, Keller can transition to more of a solid later rotation option. I like this extension.
