Just In Case You Missed It: November 7-14, 2020
“The Bereans Had No Bibles” by Griffin Gulledge. How they were able to search the Scriptures without personal copies of the Bible is even more impressive and convicting, as this author makes needed corrections to their reputation.
“Called to Suffer” by Paul Tautges (Counseling One Another). Suffering is predicted by Jesus, draws us closer to Him and makes us more like Him.
“Celebrating a Life of Faithfulness” by Nathan Busenitz (The Master’s Seminary). One of my former professors, who taught me how to pray and interpret the Bible, has died and gone to be with the Lord.
“Handling Political Disappointment” by Kevin Carson and Howard Eyrich. A good does of meditating on Psalm 9 should suffice.
“Memories of Dr. James E. Rosscup (1934-2020)” by William Barrick. Always a blessing to read one colleague’s tribute about another colleague. Dr. Barrick was my favorite professor at TMS, and Dr. Rosscup was the professor I respected the most.
“On Running a Short Race Well” by Tim Challies. Here is an update on the sudden death of Challies’ son – Nick – who was only 20 years old.
