Jared Jones returned to the Pittsburgh Pirates after a two month stay on the injury list Tuesday night. He was then tabbed to make the start against the Chicago Cubs.

Jones was roughed up a bit in his four innings of work. He allowed five runs on five hits, while walking three and striking out four. He also allowed a pair of home runs. He was also the losing pitcher taking his seventh loss of the year.

However, he did reach a milestone during the game. He struck out his 100th career batter. This was accomplished when he punched out Ian Happ swinging to end the third inning.

While unfortunately, the milestone had to come in a losing effort, it is pretty exciting to see Jones reach it.

Paul Skenes take the mound this afternoon looking to avoid the Cubs sweeping the series.
