Join Me for Groucho’s Birthday!

Folks in the New York area! Please join me, Wednesday, October 2, 7pm for a simultaneous celebration of Groucho Marx’s birthday and the release of my new book The Marx Brothers Miscellany. The other Marx Brothers, and other Marxian relatives and friends will get a mention in my presentation as well without a doubt, but since it’s Groucho’s birthday we’ll undoubtedly give the lion’s share of our attention to the elephant in the pajamas, I mean, room.

It’s a free event (with contributions accepted at the door) and I’ll have copies of The Marx Brothers Miscellany to sign and sell. The tricky part? The location is a secret! But if you reach out to me via social media, or an old fashioned e-mail, both of which are easy enough for you to find on your own, I will slip you the intel as to location and will put you on the list so that you can get in. Sorry to be so cagey, but it’s the rules of the club — can’t just have people showing up and partaking of its wonders (which, I remind you, are free) without a little gatekeeping.

When you show up, just say “swordfish”! And when you get inside you can have “one quart of scotch and one quart of rye!” I hope to see you there!
