The Source magazine’s Power 30 List was released this week. The annual list tops and bottoms the leading power players in hip-hop culture, business, politics, entertainment and lifestyle. Marcy’s rap mogul Jay-Z ranks number one, despite Beyonce being the bread-winner for the Carters. Source stating he rules the roost because he’s an industry leader and a top businessman – with ventures including Live Nation, his clothing line Rocawear, and his part-ownership of the New Jersey Nets.

President Barack Obama got his face up in the Source due to his strong influence on the new hip-hop class. Others included in the publication’s top 30 are Diddy, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, will.i.am, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and Kimora Lee Simmons.
