Jake Kendro Will Soon Make SEC Baseball Dream Come True as Tennessee Volunteer

Jake Kendro is a senior at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and a commit in the 2022 recruiting class for the University of Tennessee Volunteers baseball program.
A Rawlings and Perfect Game All-American, Kendro always dreamed of playing college baseball in the south, and more specifically, in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
“When I first visited the University of Tennessee, I instantly fell in love with it,” said Kendro. “The campus and sporting facilities are so beautiful. The coaching staff is also just awesome there. I felt like I connected with the coaches and everyone on my visit.”
On the travel circuit, he’s been a part of Flood City Elite and the Richmond Braves, with playing alongside his teammates from Flood City Elite in particular providing him with many of his favorite memories to date from baseball.

In high school, 2022 will mean finishing out his fourth season of high school by continuing to play for a Norwin program that has produced around 20 Division I players over the last two decades. At the end of this season, he will be a four-time letterwinner and hopes to become All-Section once again.

Kendro’s commitment to Tennessee makes him the second Division I athlete in his family as his older sister, Lexy, is a Duquesne women’s soccer alumni and soon will be taking her last year of eligibility at The Citadel. In college, Kendro will be majoring in Sports Management. Best of luck in your final season of high school baseball, Jake! Thank you for the opportunity to highlight some of your accomplishments and your commitment to playing for the Vols ⚾️🟧⬜️🍊
