JACQUES – Limportanceduvide (2024)

Born in 1991, in Strasbourg, Jacques, sometimes written Jacque(s), is Jacques Auberger, a French electronic musician, multi-artist, and producer. He draws his originality from his character, particularly identifiable by his tonsure.

Jacques is the son of the musician and singer Étienne Auberger (who achieved success in 1986 with his song “Ô Sophie”) and a yoga teacher. His father makes him believe that a law obliges every child to try an instrument and Jacques then begins the piano. However, he preferred the guitar, which his older brother played, and began playing music with this instrument at the age of 14 in his first group, the Rural Serial Killers, a “funky rock” group. During his college years, he dreamed of a career in rock in London, before discovering electronic music.

Jacques’ LIMPORTANCEDUVIDE 2.0 is out on Recherche & Développement. “L’importance du vide” means the importance of emptiness in French.
