It’s snacktime! (Part 2 of 3)
Here is the second post in the “snacktime series.” The first post (It’s snacktime! (Part 1 of 3)) discussed the first seven items on the list…here are the next seven.
8. Drink Chobani
I wrote a review of these Chobani yogurt drinks (Product Review: Chobani vanilla yogurt drink) but then did not buy the variety packs at Costco because I was not interested in the flavor combinations. However, for people who enjoy fruit yogurt, they are a great option.
9. Crunchy seaweed rice bites
Seaweed makes its second appearance on the list!
10. Bassé Eda Yummy crunchy mix
I have never noticed this snack mix before but the article says that it contains roasted edamame, almonds, and dried berries.
11. Kirkland Signature Marcona almonds
I love Marcona almonds. I am always so happy when they are in mixtures of nuts and definitely aim for them when choosing my serving. Although regular almonds are fine, these are skinless and seem fresher and slightly sweeter. The problem with most mixes (with the exception of the deluxe mixed nuts at Costco) is that there tend to be very few of them (I guess because they are more expensive). I have never bought just the Marcona almonds because they are still pricey and I do not have great portion control when it comes to nuts but they are definitely delicious.
12. Kirkland Signature nut bars
I mentioned in the first post in this series that I only recently tried Kind Bars (It’s snacktime! (Part 1 of 3)). I have only tried four kinds (no pun intended). I tried the dark chocolate nuts & sea salt, the dark chocolate coconut almond, the mint chocolate almond, and the dark chocolate peanut butter. I enjoy all of them very much, especially the dark chocolate nuts & sea salt (I am sooooooo late to the sea salt/chocolate trend but that’s okay…) and the mint chocolate almond. Anyway, the problem with the bars is that, for their size, they are pretty pricey. I can sometimes find them for $1 but I have actually seen them for as much as $2.49 for one bar! (I guess people must pay it though since they carry them…). Anyway, I have noticed that other stores make their own versions of the bars (and not subtly –pretty obvious what they are), including Kirkland. There are a few differences though–whereas the Kind bars are vegan, the Kirkland variety contain some dairy. In addition, I have read reviews that they are not quite as good. However, for the price differential, it is a very good option. One limitation is that as with anything at Costco due to their limited selection of any product (Freedom of or from choice?), you are limited to the few varieties they sell and have to buy multiples of them.
13. Crunch roasted seaweed sticks with almonds
Come on down seaweed snack #3!
14. Bare Snacks apple chips
Whenever I have mixes of dried fruit, I am always disappointed that there are not more apples in the mix. Instead, the mix seemes to have a few apples, maybe one pear and one peach…the rest are prunes and apricots (cheaper!). I definitely like the taste of dried apples but I have never tried chips. I would be interested to try them.
How about this part of the list? Tried any of these snacks? Recommend them?
