Introducing ForcePanda-SFDX: The Salesforce Utility Extension for VS Code
I’m excited to introduce ForcePanda-SFDX. I created this extension so I can make my life easier by not having to remember SFDX commands that are not available (e.g. packaging related commands) in Salesforce’s official SFDX extension pack . If you’re a Salesforce developer or administrator using Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and don’t like to remember SFDX commands, this extension might prove helpful to you. In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at the ForcePanda-SFDX extension and how you can use it.
Getting Started with ForcePanda-SFDX (FPDX)
To get started with ForcePanda-SFDX, you’ll need to download the repository from GitHub. You can find the repository at https://github.com/forcePanda/VSCE-Ext-ForcePanda-SFDX. Once you have the repository, follow these steps to install the extension in your VS Code:
Open VS Code.
Select the “Extensions” icon on the left sidebar or press Ctrl+Shift+X (Cmd+Shift+X on macOS) to open the Extensions view.
Click on the three-dot menu icon and choose “Install from VSIX…”
Locate and select the ForcePanda-SFDX-1.0.0.vsix file in the downloaded repository.
VS Code will install the extension, and you’ll be good to go.
