Imam Bayildi "The Cleric Fainted"
This is the Turkish name for a dish that is also very common in Greek cuisine. There are many foods that are debated over whether it is originally Greek or Turkish, but of course it is difficult to determine because of the 400 year occupation. This had many consequences, one being a very big recipe exchange. But I am not here to give you a history lesson or tell you of a tragic story, rather, just to share this amazingly delicious recipe.

Greek American Salad
o o
Traditional Greek or village salads are not served with lettuce, but rather only sliced tomato, cucumber, onion, feta, peppers, olives, croutons, and dressing as above. I prefer the health benefits of eating lettuce, but can easily be altered to suit your preferences too!
