I’m seeing someone else, in a platonic way

It’s not you, it’s me. We’re not breaking up. Can we talk?

In an attempt to gain exposure for D-III volleyball, I compiled some content for another website. I was contacted last week and thought, “Why not?”

The content I submitted was not anything readers of this blog don’t already know, but I liked the idea of letting followers of D-I and other realms of volleyball fans know what’s happening in D-III on a rudimentary level.

The new-ish website is called Vballworld.com. My little contribution, which paints D-III with an industrial sprayer (appropriate intro for the audience, I thought), can be found here. The fine brush strokes of D-III will remain on this blog.

With my stuff on this blog, in Volleyball magazine, and now on Vballworld.com, the next logical step for D-III volleyball is live primetime network television. Brace yourselves for the media storm.

Kidding aside, I thought it was a good platform on which to spread the word about D-III. And yes, if it in any way helps me get a paying sports research/SID/writing career, all the better.

All right, now that we know that this outside relationship won’t cause harm, let’s get back to work. There’s a Presentation vs. Dakota State match tonight that isn’t going to follow itself.
