I found bid breakdowns

I found the info in the most obvious place – ncaa.org. I’m not so smart sometimes. Self-effacing sentences aside, there will be 40 Pool A bids, 3 Pool B bids and 19 Pool C bids in the 2009 NCAA tournament.

Here is the link to all teams eligible for the 2009 NCAA tournament, complete with regional makeups and provisional teams. To whet your appetite for more championship minutia, did you know that the West Region is home to just 20 tournament-eligible teams while the New England Region has 77 teams? You see? Pretty interesting, right? No? Oh well. I tried, but seriously, you will learn a lot by reading the Handbook and looking at the D-III pools.
