HSU Hires Head Coach

Hardin-Simmons has announce Breann Shelton to be their new head coach replacing Sabrina Bingham. Coach Shelton comes out of the Abilene area as she was a high school and club coach. Previously, Coach Shelton was an assistant coach at three DI programs in Abilene Christian, Wyoming and Boise State. She played at Boise State and was the team’s MVP for two seasons.

You can find the news release from HSU, here.

Coach Shelton will have a tall order ahead of her as she replaces the all-time winningest volleyball coach in HSU history. D3VbWest certainly wishes her and the program nothing but success in the years to come!

With Linfield and HSU filling their coaching positions, it now leaves only La Verne and Willamette with open head coaching positions in the West Region. I will say there are some rumblings that at least one other position could open up if that coach moves on to another job.
