HPU Coach Westfall Stepping Down (Update)

Just when I think it’s safe to believe the coaching carousel has stopped, we have news out of Howard Payne where Head Volleyball Coach Colleen Westfall is stepping down.

The article says she will be moving over to BSN Sports. Coach Westfall has been at HPU for 8 years at has a record of 42-163. HPU is a tough program to lead but Coach Westfall did an admirable job of it. Her team’s best season was 2016 when they won 11 matches and made the ASC Tournament. That year and 2000 were the only two years the program has made the conference tournament.

I certainly wish Coach Westfall the best moving forward. The article indicated the school would begin searching for a new coach immediately.

Update! Josh Gerig has been named Head Volleyball Coach.
