How to Help Crafty Business Without Spending a Dime!

Hi friends, how are you today? I hope you are doing well. I’m getting used to the lock-down, not that it is much different from my everyday being someone who works from home except there are more people here as schools are closed. It’s kinda nice eating more meals together and seeing the kids have time to work on paintings and other hobbies that they might not have time for during the normal hustle and bustle of school and sports. My thoughts often go to the small art and craft supply businesses that are weathering this current crisis. My thoughts also go to crafters who might not know what the future will hold so they might want to hold off on unnecessary purchases. So today I thought I’d share some ideas on how you can support your favorite craft companies without spending any money.

You can support your favorite companies by:

  • Sharing, liking and commenting on their social media posts.

  • Leaving a product review

  • Creating with their products and sharing it on your social media. Plus you will feel great when you use what you have!

You can support your favorite online creators by:

  • Liking and commenting on their videos and posts

  • Sharing their videos on your social media platforms (tell YOUR friends who you like to watch)

  • Letting the ads play on their YouTube videos *You only need to let 30 seconds of an ad to play for a YouTuber to get paid:) If you are a YouTube premium member you are already supporting the creators you watch because YouTube shares a portion on your subscription fee with the people you watch based on watch time so you do help even though you don’t see ads. Cool huh:)

These ideas can extend to other small business in your local community too! Leaving a review for your favorite restaurant or shop can remind others that need their products that they exist. Word of mouth is the best endorsement especially from a trusted friend. We can all get through this together. Stay safe and take care!
