Himi Jelly Cup Acrylic Paint Set Review

Hi friends! I have been having a ball with these new Himi Jelly Cup Acrylic paints! I love that all I have to do is pop the lid off the paints and go! These paints, paper, and spray were sent to me from Himi to review. I am reviewing the following products: Himi Jelly Cup Acrylic set of 48, Himi mixed media paper block of 90 sheets, and Himi acrylic spray. Watch the video to see artwork made with them as well as the full review.

Pros:

  • Matte finish

  • Great variety of colors

  • Silicone seal keeps paint moist

  • Palette is easy to clean

  • Paint is waterproof when dry

  • Having all the colors ready to go makes painting faster

Cons:

  • Only 12ml of each color

  • No refills available

Bottom line: I am shocked at how much I like this paint and the jelly cup format. I spray the paint with the acrylic spray before I close up the palette for the day, and so far, the paint has not skinned over. I would recommend getting the spray; it has an oily consistency and smells nice, and I think it probably prevents mold as well. Himi says the paint is between an acrylic paint and an acrylic gouache, so if I run out of a color, I will try to refill with something similar.

Thanks for watching, and til next time, happy crafting
