The Pittsburgh Pirates minor league pitching staffs continue to turn in award winning performances. Just one week after Bubba Chandler was named top pitcher in the International League another one of his Indianapolis teammates did the same.

Thomas Harrington was named as the International League pitcher of the week this week.

Harrington went seven shutout innings in a 3-0-win over St. Paul on Saturday August 17th, 2024. He struck out two and allowed just two hits while not walking a single hitter. He earned his first win at the Triple-A level as well for the effort.

The win marks back-to-back weeks for the Pitcher of the week award winner in the International League to come from Indianapolis. Can they keep the streak going?
