Happy Memorial Day

The Monday feature of the Worldly Saints blog focuses on a story from the sports world – current or historic. The point is to recognize athletes who are using their sports and athletic abilities to further the kingdom of God or to show how some athletes are wasting their days by not giving God the glory.

Today, as you read above, is usually a day when I blog about something in the world of sports. And yet, it is also Memorial Day, which is a time when our country commemorates those who have given their lives (in one way or another) in military service for our nation.

And it has become one of my favorite days to blog in the past, as I seek to combine a theme involving both athletics and the military. Today’s post is a reprise of something I have done in the past.

Happy Memorial Day to all who currently serve and let’s thank the Lord for those who have come before us as well.
