Once again we have a guest post from Jacinta from Cookies and Love. She uses some spices in the recipe below that I’ve never used before, so I know I’ll have to give it a try. Here’s Jacinta….

Using herbs in my cooking is one of my favorite way to add nourishment to my dishes. This recipe is a well-known dish among the Chinese, and I remember my Mum and Grandma preparing their own version of it for me when I was younger.

Now, I prepare this nourishing soup for Bren whenever he gets tired out from work, and it never fails to help us feel better! Love how the chicken gets really tender after all the simmering too.

You should be able to get these herbs from any Chinese health food store, and googling the nutritional benefits of the herbs should convince you to try this out!
