“PSD is the right fit for me because of how close knit of a community it is, which reminds me so much of where I am from. They take family to another level, and after being up there and getting to interact with some people, I knew it was a family I wanted to be a part of.”

Lillard plans to spend two years at Penn State DuBois before finishing his civil engineering degree at University Park and venturing south of Pennsylvania to begin his career.

Lillard was named All-District for baseball and basketball every year throughout his high school career, became a four year varsity starter in baseball and basketball, was named the Team MVP in both sports, was a two-time Male Athlete of the Year at his high school, became the sixth 1,000 point scorer in school history in his last career game, and he was named Region Player of the Year and First-Team All-State earlier this year in his final high school baseball season.

His favorite memories from sports come from being able to play alongside his brother Richard and their group of high school teammates as well as playing treble sports throughout his life.

With this new chapter beginning in a few short weeks, Lillard is thankful for what his family has provided for him to be able to accomplish his goals in athletics. “I just want to thank my family for supporting me since day one and driving me to be a better person on and off the field.”

Best of luck as you make the move to Central Pennsylvania, Grant! Thank you for the opportunity to share about your success in athletics and commitment to the Nittany Lions ⚾️
