God’s Faithfulness in the Whirlwind
The word “whirlwind” comes to mind when I meditate on the last month. The amount of activity and work Andrea and I have been involved in probably ranks #1 of the all the busy times in our mutual lives. To sum it all up in one brief run-on sentence: we sold two cars, bought two cars, packed up our house, sold our house, moved in with my parents, accepted a new ministry position at Wichita Bible Church in Kansas and did all of this while balancing the normal schedule of being bi-vocational and having three boys asking periodically, “What did we buy/sell today?”
Throughout these experiences we have endured the last few weeks, I am reminded of a truth that grabs my attention often: God is gracious and God is faithful.
When God has a specific direction for your life, you will never lack the supply or the energy or the ability to do it. He will provide you everything you need. He will not leave you unable to do the work ahead.
God’s faithfulness continues to be an attribute that is the reason for my singing. And as I mediate on this attribute, my thoughts go to Psalm 105.
“” (Ps 105:1-8).
In January 2014, we will begin the experience of seeing the faithfulness of God again as we move to Wichita, KS and I begin filling the role of Teaching Pastor at Wichita Bible Church. After 28 years of NE Oklahoma, God has found it in his good pleasure to move us on a few hours away to serve the body of Christ there. We are so very excited to meet and serve alongside of our new friends there.
How has God been faithful to you recently?
