Meet the Giant Panda

This blog is devoted towards spreading awareness about the endangerment of the Giant Panda. The Giant Panda, scientifically known as Ailuropoda melanoleuca, has been severely threatened by habitat destruction, climate change and low rates of reproduction resulting in only 1600 left living in the wild. Due to the fact that Giant Pandas reproduce so infrequently, it is very difficult for their species to recover from such a low point. Wildlife reserves have been set up in China to provide homes for the pandas and to ensure that they are being taken care of in the wild, and that they are able to survive. By going to http://worldwildlife.org/, you can help by donating or adopting a Giant Panda, to help protect them in the wild!
