Why She Chose New Haven: “The environment of the team and the campus. By the end of my visit, the girls from the team had welcomed me and treated me like I had been there all along. I was also very excited by the art department at the university. I did not know about New Haven before entering the portal, but while looking to transfer, I found the program and decided to reach out to see if there would be an opportunity to play there.”

Favorite Athletic Memories: “Defeating Assumption College in overtime in the 2022 season to become the only unbeaten team in the conference at the time. Another top memory of mine was recently, I was able to beat my hang clean personal record by 10 pounds during our last max testing day. My teammates and my strength coach were just as excited as I was, if not more. It was a great feeling.”
Some of Her Biggest Supporters: “My first answer to this type of question will always be my club field hockey coach from high school, Sean Meily. Since my first day with the club, he was there to help me reach my goals on and off the field. I owe a lot of who I am today to Sean. Regarding graphic design, my biggest supporter this past year has been Neva Bostic (former New Haven distance runner). She gave me opportunities to create graphics for my school, as well as helped me earn some remote work opportunity. She also advised me in eventually securing my internship with the Vermont Lake Monsters. I wouldn’t be nearly as confident in my work without Neva and all of her help.”
Major and Future Plans: Graphic Design Major. She hopes to work in Graphic Design/Social Media Management for a professional sports team or league. Her top two leagues to work within include Major League Baseball or the National Women’s Soccer League

Involvement In Sports Before Field Hockey: “Before finding my love for field hockey, I was a competitive gymnast. I was in gymnastics until age 13 and was a two-time Pennsylvania State Balance Beam Champion. I also played soccer, ran cross country and track and field, was a cheerleader, and played volleyball.”
