Name: Ally Notarianni

Hometown: Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania

High School: Johnsonburg Area High School

Primary Sport: Soccer

Position: Midfield and Defense

Secondary Sports: Basketball, Track and Field, and Volleyball

Commitment: To play for the State University of New York Jamestown Community College (SUNY JCC) women’s soccer program. SUNY JCC is a public community college with locations in Olean and Jamestown, New York. Athletics is located at the Jamestown location, with the nickname of the institution in athletics being the Jayhawks, SUNY JCC is home to around 2,500 students and competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in the Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC).

Why She Chose SUNY JCC: “I chose SUNY JCC because of the persistence of Coach Ross. She texted me and continued trying to get in contact with me for a bit. Funny enough, I didn’t answer her for a while at first because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to go to school for, or what was the right path for me. I was in my guidance counselors office one day and mentioned this as an opportunity. My guidance counselor said to message Coach Ross back and see what they had to offer. Once we got talking, I almost felt right then SUNY JCC was the right place for me. The way I could talk to Coach Ross was so comfortable from the start. She even mentioned the questions I was asking her at the time were questions that someone who’s ready to play at the next level would ask. Almost immediately, I knew I had to commit.”

What Playing in a Soccer Co-Op with Ridgway Means to Her: “It has honestly meant so much to me. The girls I got to know from Ridgway from back in junior high soccer were the same girls I was playing with this year and years past. It was awesome being part of such a tight knit group because of how well we all got to know each other the last six years. I loved playing for Ridgway but also representing Johnsonburg because I’m from there was always special.”

Club Soccer Experience: Though she didn’t play for a club team, she played in the NY/PA Corporate Cup the past three years. She was on the silver teams her freshman and sophomore year, while she made the Gold team in the 2024 game.

Intended Major: Associate degree in criminal justice

Athletic Accolades: Elk County Girls Soccer Tournament All-Tournament Team, co-captain of my high school soccer soccer team, and NY/PA Corporate Cup participant

Favorite Athletic Memories: “Scoring my first varsity goal my junior year is definitely one that sticks out. Also, just being so close with so many of my teammates and sharing the bus rides back after big wins. Another one that sticks out is winning the NY/PA Corporate Cup Girls Gold game last summer.”

Final Notes: “Soccer has pretty much always been my favorite sport. It’s my escape from things when school or other parts of my life get stressful. I’m so excited for my time at JCC and to continue playing soccer at the college level.”
