Friday Ramblings

Friday. Left work early. A beer and late lunch at Free State, lots of good conversation. Picked up Pete from daycare early and surprised him with his birthday present: his very own train table. He was pretty much in heaven the rest of the day.  Understatement of the year, that.  I can’t even begin to describe his love for the thing.

So we were going to have his birthday party this weekend, the invitations were mailed and cupcakes ordered and decorations prepped. And then Pete picked up a nice virus at daycare, he’s still ‘technically’ contagious until early next week and while the pediatrician told us he’s fine to be in public for normal stuff, drooly snuffly germ-infested toddler time is probably not the best idea right now. So we pushed the party back to next week, poor baby.  No matter; we’ll find some fun things to do this weekend yet.
