Update:
Whittier up 2-0 on DeSales. And they get the sweep.
LETU is up 2-0 on Louisiana College. And they get the sweep.
Nice win for UMHB to pretty much lock up the ASC West Division.
Julia Zwaal didn’t play for Pomona but they still took Boston to 5-sets. They need to get her back.
I forgot about the Southwestern match. I was at dinner and then remembered. First set was a huge win for UTD but then Southwestern won the second 29-27 and the third 25-21. They had a 9-point run in that third set. UTD had a 9-2 start in the fourth but the Pirates fought back to tie at 16-16 and then win the match. Haven Cathey (SU) with 19 kills. Alex Nolan and Lauren Schilling led UTD with 13 kills a piece.
NWC leaders all win. Only Whitworth comes away with a sweep.

Random Thoughts:
We’ve got some West Region teams playing out-of-region this weekend…remember everyone send positive thoughts their way. It only helps the entire region when they win!
Louisiana College at LeTourneau is kind of important for that last playoff spot in the ASC Tournament. LeTourneau should have this at home but the Wildcats aren’t pushovers.
Colorado College is one of the teams playing out-of-region this weekend. It’s sort of funny that even if they go undefeated this weekend they will have a great national reputation that may not be reflected in the West Region RAC rankings. By funny I mean stupid.
UMHB is in pretty good shape in their division but beating Concordia would pretty much put it to bed.
Pomona had Julia Zwaal out for their last match. Here’s hoping she’s better today. No losing to New England teams Sagehens!
UT-Dallas at Southwestern will be interesting to see if the Pirates can play with the same effort they had against UT-Tyler. If not, the Comets will sweep.
On paper, the four leaders in the NWC should win their matches today. No room to slip up, however.
