The word “more” appears in our title on account of the previous post, which promoted an April 13 burlesque tribute to Flo Ziegfeld. Here are four other related events happening prior to that which I know you’ll want to know about!

Thanks, Riley Kellogg, for the intel that the New York Adventure Club will be presenting a webinar on “The Battle Over Burlesque at the 1939-40 Worlds Fair”, presented by John Brenner, tomorrow, Friday, March 22 at 8pm. Tickets and more info are here. For my own post on the ’39 Worlds Fair, including a little on burlesque go here.

Friday-Saturday, March 22-23, the new documentary Carol Doda: Topless at the Condor(about one of the first modern exotic dancers and the San Francisco Worlds Fair) will be screening at the Angelika, with presentations by the filmmakers. Info and tickets are here.

On Saturday, March 23, The Flying Karamazov Brothers are playing the Smith Opera House in Geneva, New York. My post on the Karamazovs is here; my review of a recent NYC performance is here. Tix and info for the Smith show are here.

Sunday, March 24: For Harry Houdini’s 150th birthday, the Magic Castle in Hollywood is reviving its famous Houdini Séance Experience! More on that exciting development can be found here. The Houdini section of Travalanche is here.
