I have written up before why I think the Points Efficiency Ratio (PER) is the best performance indicator in volleyball. Using the Women’s Super League 2019-20 match data, I put together four graphs to show how the PER is related to success in volleyball and why I still use it in my analyses (before I jump to other stats that could boost the overall PER).
