Fixing my ill-advised palette purchase

Hi friends! I thought I found a heck of a deal when I bought this mini wooden painting kit on Amazon for $12. Spoiler alert, it was too good to be true. But I decided, rather than return it where it would likely be tossed in a landfill, I would, as RuPaul would say, Make it work! Here is how I made treasure from trash.

Then I decided to fill the now bespoke palette with some vintage Winsor & Newton Watercolors.

I am happy with the palette rescue, and it will be fun to take on a painting adventure. I really like the sketchbook that comes with it. I haven’t tried the paints that came with the palette, but someone told me they were surprisingly decent. We shall see (at a later date, I’ve had my fill of finicky art supplies at the moment!)
