First Zine, “Abolish DPS”, out now!
Inspired by the uprisings led by Black youth around this country, and the protests led by the Black Student Association at USC this summer, a collective of USC students formed last fall to pursue abolition broadly in the U.S. and specifically at USC. We’re imagining a world and university where safety isn’t defined by carceral practices.
We have spent the past couple of months putting together the zine “Abolish DPS: Envisioning a #PoliceFreeUSC”, which elucidates the connections between the University of Southern California (USC) and the prison industrial complex. Head over to our zines page to read more!
We hope that you will engage with the material and share the zine widely. If you have any questions or are interested in joining us, please send us an email at usc.abolition@protonmail.com.
