Find the freebie and a new way to color!
Hello Folks, well it is Thursday again and time to find the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Hidden Freebie, which DT member will have it today I wonder? If you like free stamp be sure to play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches this week and you could 10 Lindsay Stamp Stuff Stamps! You can see a list of all DT members at the end of this post! Today I wanted to share a fun technique with you using supplies you likely already have on hand, and it is an easy one too: Colored Pencil on colored paper.

On this example I used the Cherry Preserve Digital stamp printed on creamy yellow (so saffron: Stampin Up!) and I printed my digital stamps right on the colored paper, before printing I went under layer in pant shop pro and chose properties and reduced the opacity to 60% because I did not want the design to show much after I colored it. Then I put down my white highlights and deep red (black grape) shadows very thickly with colored pencil. Then I added a bit of the black grape lightly to the jar and cherries, I burnished (colored firmly) over the light layer if black grape with crimson red mixing the tow colors together. Then I used light blue to color the gingham fabric with a layer of white on top of that to blend. I used cream, gold, bronze and dark brown pencils to “paint” the gold band on the jar and apple green and dark brown to color the stems. A grey shadow under the objects finishes the design.

Remember I said that I would show you what I was going to do with the crocheted cherries yesterday? Well here they are on a button box.

If you missed the pattern you can snag it here.

Be sure to visit all of the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Design Team Members Blogs to see their fabulous work and find the freebie (it’s a sweet one!)
