Final 2020 (2021) AVCA poll: 8 Central or Midwest teams ranked

The Central and Midwest regions were well represented in the final AVCA poll of the season, finishing with eight teams among the top 22 in the country.

Colorado College, the unanimous top team in the nation, was followed in the final poll by No. 2 Trinity (Texas), No. 3 Carthage, No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor and Texas Dallas.

Other Central or Midwest teams in the final top 25: No. 6 Millikin; No. 7 Elmhurst; No. 12 Northwestern; No. 15 Coe; No. 18 Aurora; No. 21 Cornell; No. 22 Greenville.

Central and Midwest region teams receiving votes this week: Westminster (Mo.); Wartburg; Illinois Wesleyan.

Exhibit #2,059 of why this season is unique: The final poll doesn’t mean volleyball is over. The MIAC still has matches scheduled through early May.
