Fanna-Fi-Allah is a Canadian–American group which plays Qawwali, a form of Sufi devotional music popular in South Asia. Fanna means “annihilation” in Arabic (in a spiritually ascetic sense). Fanna-Fi-Allah designates the spiritual state in which one annihilates one’s self and is absorbed in God.

The Fanna-Fi-Allah Sufi Qawwali ensemble perform Haq Ali Ali live at the Barbican in London 2022. This Qawwali is dedicated to Hazrat Ali (AS) and was composed by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The event was truly magnificent and an inspiration for us all! After the world had been closed for two years, it was a profound show of appreciation for the Qawwali tradition when 1200 fans filled this amazing venue for us in 2022.

Note: Ali was the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad. He is especially revered by the Sufi mystics. Sometimes the wall shakes, sometimes trembles the dooron listening the name of Ali, the fort of Khaibar trembles even now.
