Erie Moon Mammoths

The Erie Seawolves will have a new alternate identity. They will become the Erie Moon Mammoths.

The Seawolves were selected to have a rebrand by Tonight Show host John Oliver. After working with the team they now have an alternate identity that’s out of this world.

My first thoughts are it’s a fun logo. It’s a fun name that’s unique and family friendly. It fits the Minor League Baseball landscape perfectly. Though the logo could be similar to the Utah Mammoth hockey team it’s different enough to not confuse the two. The Erie one is a bit more cartoon, while Utah’s is a bit more on the serious side.

I like the color scheme too. The purple, black, white and blue is a good combination of colors. Though it does seem a lot like the Colorado Rockies color scheme. It doesn’t really fit a Detroit Tigers affiliate team. It does look good though.

They also have a new mascot called Fuzz E Mammoth.

The new name will debut on July 19th, 2025, when they face the Chesapeake Baysox during game two of a three game weekend series. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Moon Mammoth squishy as a part of the Moon Mammoth night promotion.

It’s a fun logo and team name and I think they did a great job on it. It’s just fun to have a bigger media outlet like the Tonight Show and John Oliver involved with it as well. Could this lead to more collaborations like this in the future? I really hope so.
